Ivan Bonchev is responsible for research and M&A advisory services and leads Ernst & Young's Automotive Segment in Russia and the CIS. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Ivan was an advisor to the General Director for Russia and CIS of Continental AG.

Ivan chairs the Automotive Components Committee (33 members, the majority of which global tier 1 and 2 suppliers with operations in Russia) with the Association of European Businesses in Russia. He also represents Ernst & Young as an associate member of the Russian Association of Automotive Dealers (ROAD).

Ivan assisted many international clients in entering or expanding the Russian and CIS markets. He has also been helping Russian manufacturing companies in restructuring and improving their operational efficiencies.

Ivan also manages Ernst & Young's analytical project "The Automotive Market in Russia and the CIS". He has ample media coverage with respect to expert analysis of the Russian automotive industry and is regularly speaking at international conferences and round tables. Ivan has a BA degree in Economics and a Masters in Finance from Sofia University and an MBA degree from INSEAD.
