Boris Firsov is a Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where he is responsible for the Automotive Competence Centre in Russia and CIS.

Boris has provided consulting support for the automotive sector since 1997. He advises leading Russian and foreign OEMs, suppliers, distributors and service companies on strategy issues, joint venture establishment and performance improvement projects. His knowledge covers R&D issues, purchasing, supply chain management and manufacturing.

For global automakers and their suppliers he develops strategies for new products and markets, provides advice on partner search and adapts sales structures.

For Russian OEMs and automotive suppliers he does product development improvement, project management, manufacturing capacity analysis and joint ventures.

Boris is also a trusted advisor in the field of modernisation and new technologies. His focus has been on strategy related issues and he has provided advice to many companies interested in development of their R&D function and overcoming technological obsolescence.

After studying engineering at the Leningrad Mechanical Institute and receiving a Masters degree from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Boris worked in Russia, Western Europe, and Latin America in senior positions with Arthur D. Little and A.T. Kearney.
