Marc Allen was appointed to his current position of Assistant Vice President
Automotive Marketing in December 2002. Allen leads a team in charge of
all marketing and sales responsibilities for all automotive movements on the
BNSF. Prior to this position, Allen served as Assistant Vice President
Carload Equipment for the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway.
He began his railroad career in 1991 with the Santa Fe Railway in Shaumburg, IL after completing the coursework in the masters program in economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Marc held various analytical roles in the Intermodal Business Unit and Cost Accounting while at the Santa Fe. With the merger of Santa Fe and Burlington Northern, Marc moved to Ft. Worth and held various marketing and sales positions within the Consumer Business Unit prior to his assignment as Assistant Vice President - Carload Equipment.
